PVC pipe is a great material for building, growing and storing things in.  Today, I will show you innovative uses for PVC pipes in various sizes.

     Pipes can be purchased in planter sized widths and attached to 4 by 4 or 2 by 4  uprights.  Fill with soil and use as a planter, or, cut planter sized holes an simply use as a structure to hold plants in a vertical garden, or add a water container, a pump and a little aquarium tubing and you can make it a hydroponic garden, constantly feeding the plants with water soluble fertilizers as needed.  Watch the phosphates though, or the roots will take over and clog the pipes!

     To solve the problem of watering a terracotta pot, thoroughly, drill holes in a length of pvc pipe.  Plant it in the pot when you place your soil, water the 'whole' pot top to bottom!
